Ornaments & Decorations

Cat playing with Ornament on the Christmas Tree

Beautiful holiday decorations and ornaments make the holidays special, even magical! But curious dog and cat noses, paws and mouths can spell trouble! Place breakable decorations out of reach and block access to all plants and trees, candles and gifts when you cannot closely supervise your pets.

Potpourri, Tinsel, Bows & Ribbons

While all synonymous with the holidays, these items pose potential choking hazards to curious pets. Worse yet, potpourri can potentially poison your pet from the toxic essential oils and chemical perfumes contained in each fragrant bag. This also includes all liquid potpourri.

A Few More Tips

Batteries (Old and New): Sadly, dogs ingest more batteries around the holidays than any other time of the year! Keep all batteries out of reach from curious mouths.

Regular Routines: Pets are creatures of habit and do best when their schedules remain consistent. Feed and exercise your pet on their normal schedules and also give them a safe, quiet and comfortable place to relax during the holiday season!
