MobilityDog 2024 HOWL-i-Day Pawt-y

Season's Greetings from MobilityDog

The holiday season is glowing all around us. Hanukkah’s Festival of Lights is being celebrated this week, with Christmas unfolding just ahead. We wish each of you a beautiful holiday filled with love, light, laughter, and the comfort of holding our communities close. Our deepest gratitude to you, for the generosity of your time, your resources, and your unwavering belief in MobilityDog.

Together, as a community, we have quietly sown so many seeds, seeds of worth, dignity, and possibility. Because of you, lives are strengthened, independence is nurtured, and confidence grows with every step forward.

With great joy, we’re thrilled to share an exciting milestone in our MobilityDog journey: Please join us in welcoming Renee McNally as our Director of Operations! Renee has been volunteering with MobilityDog since June 2025, and her dedication, leadership, and deep commitment to our mission have already made a meaningful impact. We are over the moon to have her officially step into this role and guide our operations as MobilityDog continues to grow and thrive.

We are profoundly thankful for every volunteer, funder, handler, raiser/trainer, board member, and advocate who brings skill, compassion, and heart to our mission each day. Your continued support strengthens our organization and ensures we are ready to respond, opening doors to greater independence and barrier-free living for all.

As we prepare to depart and spend the holidays with our son and his family, we’re reminded that we thrive when we travel, light and uncomplicated. During the holidays, and really in life, less truly is more. Time with family and friends fills our hearts and reminds us how beautifully connected we all are.

MobilityDog and I are wrapped in gratitude and guided by intention- carrying joy lightly and sharing it freely. May your journeys be safe, your moments bright, and your celebrations warmed by love wherever you find yourself. Please take gentle care of one another; in a world that has changed, our most actual strength lives in empathy, kindness, and compassion for all humanity.

With love, light, and a wagging tail,

Janie Heinrich, CEO MobilityDog

Disneyland California Adventure Land Holiday Magic

Is there any sweeter energy than being invited by our children and grandchildren to the magical kingdom of Mickey and Minnie Mouse? From the moment we arrived, everything felt accessible, welcoming, and brimming with holiday cheer.

The kiddos and grown-ups alike were pure delight, laughing, exploring, and sharing wonder at every turn. Every light was glowing, the parades were sparkling, and the joy was contagious. Star Wars Land blew me away. It felt so real, I almost expected to step into ancient times!

We even tried our hand at the Animation Academy, drawing Scully with step-by-step guidance, fun for all ages, and a perfect souvenir to take home.

Accessibility shines, kindness reigns, and the magic of Disney lives on. Bring your family, bring your friends, this holiday adventure is one you’ll never forget!

Indeed, my special friend, Mr. Walt Disney, would be proud that accessibility still shines, kindness reigns supreme, and the magic lives on.
