MobilityDog & Giving Tuesday 2026

A.R.F!2026

2026 was a big year at MobilityDog. Giving Tuesday is how we make 2027 bigger.

In May, we filled Pasadena City Hall for the seventh A.R.F! Accessibility Resource Fair. It had 79 booths, more than double last year. People tried a climbing wall and hand-pedaled bikes, ate from food trucks, and watched the LA Rollettes wheelchair dance team. We surveyed guests afterward, and 90.9% said they will come back.

A scholarship from LA County Supervisor Horvath paid for two field trips. Our handlers rode the train into downtown Los Angeles and visited the Broad museum, the Mark Taper Forum, and two restaurants. About 70 percent of them had not done anything like it since their disability began.

Since 2018, we have matched 46 service dog teams.

On Sunday, October 4, we celebrated our 8th Birthday Paw-ty with adaptive croquet at Robinson Park Community Center in Pasadena.

In November, our founder, Janie Heinrich, was honored with a 2026 Leadership Pasadena Impact Award. See all of this year’s honorees.

Next up is A.R.F! 2027 on Saturday, April 3, 2027, at Pasadena City Hall.

Giving Tuesday is December 1.

Raising one service dog takes about two years and $35,000. Ongoing training for a working service dog costs $1,500 a year. A gift on Giving Tuesday pays for that training, and it keeps more people from being turned away from a service dog because of cost.
