Easy Frozen Broth Treats for Fido!
During one of the warmest summers on record, make sure your dog stays well-hydrated and cool during the hot days!
This recipe from Savor and Savvy has the PAWfect answer! Frozen broth dog treats with apple pieces!
This is also a great starter recipe you can customize to your own dog’s tastes and preferences. Try using:
Blueberries.
Strawberries.
Raspberries.
Cranberries.
Blackberries.
Bananas.
Melons or even parsley or mint!
NOTE: If your dog is allergic to chicken, use a veggie, beef or bone broth instead (and sodium-free!).
Cut apples (or other fruit) into small, bite-sized pieces (appropriate for your dog) and remove all apple seeds. Add to the molds or small containers you’re going to freeze the treats in. Small cup-size snack containers, your favorite dog molds or even ice cube trays work great!
Add the broth on top of the fruit pieces and leave a bit of room at the top for expansion while freezing. Freeze until firm and feed to your dog (in moderation!).
