Meet Some Heroic Canines!

Clover and Haley

Clover’s pet parent, Haley, collapsed one day during one of their regular walks in Ontario and this hero dog sprung right into action! After getting Haley to roll over, Clover realizes something is wrong and steps out into the street in front of truck to stop it. The driver, Dryden, gets out to assist Haley. It wasn’t until Haley woke up in the ambulance that she learned she had passed out and had a seizure. In fact, she could have died if not for Clover and Dryden’s quick help!

Eve and Katie

Katie, a paralyzed 41-year-old woman, was in her car with her Rottweiler, Eve, when she began to smell smoke. While Katie was trying to assemble her foldable wheelchair, she was overcome by smoke. Eve quickly grabbed one of her legs and pulled her out of the van before it become engulfed in fire and exploded! Thankfully Katie did not suffer any injuries but Eve did have some burns to her paw pads. Without a doubt, Eve saved the day!

Roselle and Michael

Michael and his guide dog, Roselle, (a yellow Labrador Retriever) were at work at the World Trade Center on September 11th. After the planes struck the building, Roselle guided Michael down 1,463 steps to safety, through the choking smoke and away from the building just before it collapsed!

Haus and Molly

While playing with 7-year-old Molly, Haus, the German Shepherd began acting frantic. He was actually preventing an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake from biting Molly! While the snake did bite the pup several times (instead of Molly), Haus made a full recovery.

Chucky and Jessie

Not all acts of K9 heroism are limited to humans!

While their guardians were out, Chucky (a small Pomeranian) fell into the pool and could not get back out due to his small size and age (13). After Chucky dog-paddled for over 30 minutes, Jessie, a female pit bull, was finally able to gently pull Chucky out of the pool to safety. While the rescue is amazing, what makes this even more incredible is that Jessie hates the water and will not go near it! But when her tiny K9 pal needed help, Jessie didn’t hesitate.
