April Fun A Month Worth Wagging About!

MobilityDog Booth at Abilities Expo

Spring is here, and we're wagging our tails extra hard this month! April 2026 is a vibrant month that reflects a variety of beliefs, traditions, and shared causes. It includes religious and cultural observances, environmental awareness initiatives, and plenty of fun, quirky national days. Although there are no U.S. federal holidays, there are many meaningful moments to acknowledge and celebrate in ways that resonate with each of us.

Recap of Abilities Expo
March 27 - March 29 in Long Beach

What an incredible weekend! MobilityDog had the privilege of exhibiting at the Abilities Expo Los Angeles, held March 27–29 at the Long Beach Convention Center, and we are still riding the high of an absolutely unforgettable experience.

MobilityDog is so proud to be a part of this incredible gathering. Over three amazing days, we had the opportunity to connect with individuals, families, caregivers, and advocates who truly understand the life-changing impact that a trained service dog can have. The conversations we had, the stories we heard, and the connections we made reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

We left Long Beach with full hearts and a renewed sense of purpose. The paths we began to forge at this event will carry our community forward — and we cannot wait to see where they lead. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared your story, or simply said hello. Until next time!

ADA Accessible Friendly Adventures
April 2026 Winner

Los Angeles Arboretum, Arcadia, CA

We spent a lovely morning at the Los Angeles Arboretum with our grands; SD Beckett and I had a most delightful time exploring our grands' and my other young people’s favorite trees and areas, sharing and laughing our way through the pathways! We stopped at Bub and Grandma’s on Eagle Rock Blvd and brought our morning snack to enjoy on the tables just inside. My family and my wheelchair, my arm crutches, my service dog, or prosthesis, or a walker could maneuver the Los Angeles Arboretum because they have intentionally created barrier-free pathways to welcome everyone. After, we embraced the historical Queen Anne House, the barn, and the Forest Pathway, and observed blossoming trees surrounded by Peacocks and Pea Hens. We enjoyed a fun walk back around the loop past the Canada geese and the fountain. Absolutely, beautiful morning out and about in nature.
